Shenmue III

Kept Ryo waiting, huh?

Another delay to the long-awaited
sequel means we’ll have been waiting
to find out what happened after
Shenmue II for going on 17 years.
Nonetheless, a publishing deal with Deep Silver is
a promising sign, as is new development footage
showing the mileage Yu Suzuki’s team is getting
from Unreal Engine 4 to dispel doubts from that
Gamescom trailer.
While a photo-realistic open world looks
impossible for a Kickstarter-funded project, just
being able to finally continue Ryo’s quest has us
on tenterhooks. If they can find an excuse to
sneak in a forklift, all the better.
